Best wishes to you Hyleas Fountain in today's 2012 Olympic Trials. You told me your dreams in 1994 and now you have arrived in your dreams.

Hyleas first became a member of the USA Track and Field program when she joined my track club, the Greater Paxtonia Track Club.

My daughter Stephaine and Hyleas would talk about how they wanted to run against Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Hyleas always talked about her at track practice. Today, Jackie talks about Hyleas.

FOXSports.com writers Todd Behrendt and Peter Schrager said this about Hyleas.
"One is Jackie Joyner-Kersee, proclaimed by a handful of publications to be the Female Athlete of the 20th Century and one of the United States’ most decorated and revered Olympians.

The other is Hyleas Fountain.

That is, in its entirety, the list of American women who have medaled in one of track and field’s more grueling events, the heptathlon. And it has ensured that whenever Fountain’s name is mentioned, Joyner-Kersee’s is almost certain to follow in close proximity."

Hyleas will tell you who she is and what it took to over come her injuries!

On the Greater Paxtonia Track Club, we taught our children to "take no prisoners." That means win and always win big. We will see if Hyleas still has this philosophy at the London Olympics.

Central Dauphin group plans event to support 2 in Olympics

According to my daughter Stephanie Tulloch and close friend of Hyleas Fountain, Hyleas sprained her back in the Javelin event. That meant that Hyleas could not continue with the last event of the Heptathlon, the 800 Meter Run. Hyleas had to drop out of competition.
