Daniel Tulloch is waiting for the 1500 Meter Run call.
This is the second 2013 UAGTCA (United Age Group Coaches Association) in door meet for the Flash. This meet again took place at Widener University in Chester, Pa. just after a big Northeast Snow Storm in New York, New Jersey and Northern New England. The meet was suppose to start at 9:00 AM but did not get underway until 10:00 AM due to the weather.

Here is the result of the 1500 Meter Run where Daniel came in third with a personal best of 6 Minutes 1.03 Seconds.
I read the time off of the Leader Board as it was flashed up on the wall of the building. Notice that Daniel just ran 100 meters less than a mile and he is not sweating or showing any sign of fatigue.
Dixon, Stevens, and Tulloch are the three fastest sub-bantams in the UAGTCA today. Stephanie and I used this meet as a warm up for the coming USATF Northeast Zone Championships on February 24, 2013 at Toms River, NJ. Here Daniel will compete to go to the 2013 USATF National Youth Indoor Track & Field Championships at Prince George's Sports And Learn Complex in Landover MD. The date: Saturday, March 09, 2013 - Sunday, March 10, 2013.
But first, Daniel will have to place in the top six places in at least one of the events; 1500 Meter Run, 800 Meter Run, or the Long Jump. His competition will come from the following associations that represent the Northeast United States.
Adirondack
Connecticut
Long Island
Maine
Mid Atlantic
New England
New Jersey
New York
Niagara
Three Rivers

Other than the 1500 Meter, this was a learning meet for Daniel. He ran for the first time in the 400 Meter run. The Flash is an intermediate distance runner, not a short distance runner. I decided to see how he would do against the Mid-Atlantic elite in this event.

He came in 14th in the race with a personal best of 1 minute, 37.01 seconds. Locally, a time like that in the Harrisburg area would be one of the better times. However, for a regional or national runner at age 7, that is not good. After the race, I had a "pissed off" mother track me down to tell me that Daniel is not a 400 Meter runner.
Daniel is still learning the art of the Long Jump Event. Some Philadelphia Coaches noticed Daniel in the Long Jump Pitt and gave me some pointers on what Daniel should learn in this event.

Daniel came in 7th with a measurement of 2.17 Meters or 7 Feet, 1 and 7/16 Inches.
This is Daniel's third and final Jump.
Very good job for someone not trained in long jump. He was good in the 1500 meter run. I am sure he will get better with the 400 meter run. Congratulations to you and Stephanie. Daniel is doing great. No one should say any child is not a short distance runner unless she has personal knowledge of what that child has trained for.
