The 1500 Meter Run on March 10, 2013 at 12:15 PM.
This was the award ceremony after the race. This ceremony is closed to athletes
involved, family, and their coaches.
This is Daniel Tulloch (the Jamaican Flash) receiving his 1500 Meter award.
Daniel had other events as well!
The meet started with the usual getting up at 5:00 AM and traveling to the meet
registration preparing for Daniel's events.
Here is Daniel waiting to start the Long Jump with his mother Stephanie
Tulloch behind him. After the picture was taken, the officials made us
go to the coaches box while Daniel made his jumps.

The results came in on the leader board at the end of the race saying that
Daniel came in 8th. But the official results online says he was 9th.
Watch the race for yourself.
On the video, I read the information off the leader board and it said that
Daniel came in 8th place. Now the online website says that he came in 9th
place. Since it does not mean a medal or advancement to International
Meets, technically, it does not matter.
This is Daniel's national standings!
1500 Meter Run -- 6th Seed in the Nation
800 Meter Run -- 9th Seed in the Nation
Long Jump -- 9th Seed in the Nation.
Daniel had visitors
Vida (my first cousin)is the one in the Black and White stripped blouse. The little
boy in the red shirt is Marc, Vida's grandson. He is playing with
my grandson Daniel.
Daniel is on the left, Marc is on the right. They are 5th cousins.
Where do we go from here?
We will not participate in any international meets this year. Instead, we will
prepare for Daniel's out door track and field program starting in the month of
May in Philadelphia. That series will end hopefully in Daniel going to Nationals
in North Carolina at the end of July. Daniel's practice starts on March 11, 2013.
A Great day for Daniel. No disappointment from family that attended his events for the first time.
ReplyDeleteAs his younger brother has been saying while watching Pop-Pop training Daniel for the past 4+ years.
!!!!!!!!!! GO DANIEL GO !!!!!!!!!!
And that is what David was saying this time. He was Daniel's biggest fan. On Sunday, USATF Officials found out that someone hacked into the computer system and changed around the results. It held up Daniel's awards from 1:30 to almost 4:00. I think they hacked into the system on Saturday because the leader board had Daniel at 8th place in the 800 Meters but on the USATF Website, he is 9th. We will not protest because it cost $20.00 to submit a protest and Daniel will get nothing out of it if we won the protest.
