The 2013 USATF Mid-Atlantic Association Junior Olympic Track and Field Championship

Daniel received two silver medals today.

The Mid-Atlantic Association Championship took place at Widener University in Chester, Pa. on June 23, 2013. This meet is the start of the road that ends with the National Junior Olympic Championships on July 22-28 at North Carolina "A and T" University in Greensboro, N.C.
Today, Daniel participated in the Long Jump, 1500 Meter, and 800 Meter runs. The top 6 individuals in each event will go on to participate in the USATF Region 2 Championships to be held in Jamestown, N.Y. from July 11 to 14. The top five in each event will go on to the National Championships.
Daniel started with his weakest event, the Long Jump.

Here is a cell phone picture of Daniel in the Long Jump. He jumped 6 Feet, 7.25 Inches. That gave him 8th place. That is not good enough to advance to the Region 2 meet. Even if he jumped his best, 8 Feet that would still not be good enough to advance to the Region 2 Meet.

After that event, Daniel participated in the 1500 Meter Run with a time of 6 Minutes, 11.2 Seconds. This won him 2nd place but he will have to work between the meets to compete in the Region 2 meet and advance to Nationals.  He needs a time below 6 Minutes to participate at Nationals.

Daniel's last event was the 800 Meter Run finishing with a time of 3 Minutes, 19.01 seconds. That was good enough to give him second place in this race but again, he got to get his time down to below three minutes if he plans to run this race at Nationals.

The Jamaican Flash has participated in two of the three USATF National Meets; Cross Country and Indoor Track. The summer Outdoor Track Nationals is the only national meet that he has not participated in. If he places from first to fifth in either event in the next Region 2 meet, he will participate in the Outdoor National Meet.

Track Meet at Caravel Academy in Delaware

This is Daniel's third place metal in the 800 Meter Run.

On Saturday, June 8, 2013, the WILMINGTON TRACK CLUB, sponsored the ART MADRIC 1ST STATE OUTDOOR TRACK CLASSIC at CARAVEL ACADEMY, OUTDOOR TRACK, 2801 DEL LAWS RD, BEAR, DE 19701.  Daniel ran the 800 Meter and the 1500 Meter.

We had Daniel practice twice a week running up a quarter mile street and down again up to 6 times per practice. People would come out of there homes and watch him run. Some of his friends would try running with him. That usually last about 3 minutes about half way up the hill. Three times per week we had Daniel run the treadmill up to 10 mile per hour for 5 minutes per run. We did this to prepare him for this track classic in Delaware.

800 Meter Run

Daniel had to work at getting this medal by running down and beating to the finish line
Maurice from the "Firebirds AC" track club centered in Washington DC. Daniel beat him at the finish line with time separated by .13 seconds.

Daniel ran the 800 Meter with a time of 3 minute and 6.72 seconds. This was a personal best.  He was able to do that for two reasons;
1) He did not allow himself to get boxed in at the beginning of the race
2) These children at this meet are from Richmond, Va., Washington DC, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Delaware and other areas in between. These people can fly and Daniel had to keep up with them.

This is Daniel's 1500 Meter Run

Daniel received first place and a t-shirt in the 1500 Meter Run.
Daniel and the 8 and under children ran with the 9 and 10 year old group, in the 1500 Meter Run. He ran it in a time of 6 Minutes and 9.72 seconds. His 6 year old Muslim friend and team mate, Jeremiah can be seen on this tape getting instructions from the coach.

Jeremiah is the first Muslim that the church devoted Daniel has met. Daniel told him that he is going to church tomorrow. Daniel asked Jeremiah what church does he go to? Jeremiah said that he did not go to church. Daniel asked, "Why not?" Jeremiah replied, "Because I am Muslim!" That was very confusing to Daniel. That is a job for his mother to straighten out.

What is the next step?

The athletes that you see here at this meet will go off to compete for national titles in several different National Championships; mainly that of the USATF, AAU, and Hershey Programs.
Due to financial constraints, Daniel will not go on his International Invitational to Canada this year.  Daniel has a chance to go to his third straight USATF National Championship Meet at the end of July, July 22 through July 28, 2013 at Irwin Belk Track, North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, N.C.  The Jamaican Flash went to New Mexico for the USATF Cross Country National Meet last December and to the USATF Indoor National Championship meet in Maryland, just outside Washington DC. last winter. It is probable that Daniel will qualify and advance to the USATF Cross Country Nationals in Texas next December. Here is why we had to cancel his trip to Canada for July 5, 2013. These trips cost money.

Next, we have to prepare for the USATF Program.  First, Daniel must place in the top six places in at least one of three events that he will participate in at Widener University, Chester, Pa.  He will enter in the Long Jump, 800 Meter, and 1500 Meter Runs. If he advances to the next level, he will compete in the USATF Region 2 Associations meet at Strider Field, Jamestown in the state of New York on July 11-14 2013.  The top five places from each event will advance to the USATF National Meet.

What we have to correct!

Daniel’s weakest event is the Long Jump. I have reached out to Michael Galloway,
Emotional Support Teacher/Case manager; Track and Field Coach for Central Dauphin East High School for Long Jump coaching assistance. Daniel will not have a chance to try out for Coach Galloway’s high school team for another 7 years but his assistance to improve Daniel’s chances in the USATF program is much appreciated.

Mike’s father Leroy Galloway is the one who coached Stephanie (Williams) Tulloch, Daniel’s mother and 2008 Silver Olympic Medalist Hyleas Fountain when they were 12 and 13 years old.

UFOs Vs Paranormal

They say that she is in the Wicca religion!

Wicca (English pronunciation: /ˈwɪkə/) is a modern pagan, witchcraft religion. It was developed in England during the first half of the 20th century and it was introduced to the public in 1954 by Gerald Gardner, a retired British civil servant. It draws upon a diverse set of ancient pagan and 20th century hermetic motifs for its theological structure and ritual practice.

Wicca is a diverse religion with no central authority or figure defining it. It is divided into various lineages and denominations, referred to as "traditions", each with its own organisational structure and level of centralisation. Due to its decentralized nature, there is some disagreement over what actually constitutes Wicca. Some traditions, collectively referred to as British Traditional Wicca, strictly follow the initiatory lineage of Gardner and consider the term "Wicca" to apply only to such lineaged traditions, while other eclectic traditions do not.

Wicca is typically duotheistic, worshipping a god and goddess traditionally viewed as a mother goddess and horned god. These two deities are often viewed as facets of a greater pantheistic godhead. However, beliefs range from "hard" polytheism to even monotheism. Wiccan celebration follows approximately eight seasonally based festivals known as Sabbats. An unattributed statement known as the Wiccan Rede is the traditional basis of Wiccan morality. Wicca involves the ritual practice of magic.

Karyn Dolan on Paranormal Activity

Time traveler: In the video above, does it prove that he is a time traveler?

A depression-era photo released by the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture shows a man who looks strikingly similar to Jay-Z, sparking rumors on the Internet that the rapper is a time-traveler.

Karyn Dolan's Presentation

The last person of 5 speakers to speak at the Eerie UFO Conference in Erie, Pa. was Karyn Dolan. I did not get a chance to talk to her personally. She is more connected with paranormal activity than UFO activity.
She asked, “Are UFOs and paranormal activity separate fields or two aspects of the same phenomenon?”

While many consider ghosts and UFOs to be part of a larger category of mysterious events, some researchers feel strongly that they should be kept strictly separate. She talked about the similarities and differences between the two fields and explored some startling crossover cases.

One case involved some people living in a house with a ghost. The people and ghost communicated between the two dimensions by PC until a third party in another dimension threatened them.  In my opinion, humans are made up of a body, sole, and spirit. To live here in this dimension, humans must have a body. But keep in mind, when Jesus died and was resurrected, he lingered here in a reconstructed body on Earth for 40 days. I wrote about this in a blog back in March 2013.

Who is Karyn Dolan?

Karyn Dolan has been involved in the UFO research community since 2000, but has had a lifelong interest in the Paranormal. In 2007, she began hosting “Through the Keyhole,” a weekly program on the Paranormal Radio Network, in which she discussed cutting-edge research into cryptozoology, paranormal research, demonic possession, alien abductions and more. Karyn served as a Media Relations Director of the Intentional UFO Congress in Laughlin, NV and has lectured at UFO and Paranormal conferences across the country.

She has had articles published in The Spirit Digest, Fate magazine and on the Women of Esoterica blog.

800 Meter at Gwynedd Mercy Academy

Coach Andrew Lofton of the St. Luke's Spirit Track Club

On the afternoon of June 2013, Daniel went to the northern suburbs of Philadelphia, Pa. to run one event, the 800 Meter Run.

This is the Larry Wilson Track and Field. Larry has been around youth track and field even before Stephanie and Hyleas Fountain got involved in track and field. This building is part of Gwynedd Mercy Academy. Gwynedd Mercy Academy is next door to the Gwynedd Mercy College.

Here is Coach Lofton explaining to his members and parents what he wanted done at this meet. He also went over what he needed for future meets.

Daniel is sitting with his club members passing the time while the meet went through the order of events.

1600 (bantam - high school)
100 meter dash
4 x 100 parent/coach relay
800 meter run -- Daniel ran in this event.
200 meter dash

Shot and Long Jump 11 & up

Daniel ran the 800 Meter Run with a time of 3 minutes and 15 seconds. He came in third place.

Houston, we have a problem!

You may think that Daniel has no problems. After all, he came in third in this event. But Couch Lofton's job and my job is not to worry about having him place in these exhibition meets.  Our job is to use these exhibition meets as a training ground to find and correct problems. The over all objective is to get him to national and international meets and get him national and international rankings.

800 Meter Run at Gwynedd Mercy Academy, Pa. June 2, 2013

Do you see the problem?  I talked to Daniel until I was blue in the face. I told him to get out quickly and don't move over to lane one until he passes up the crowd of runners. He did that when he ran the 3200 meter and got one of his fasted times ever. But instead of doing that, he moved over into lane one in the crowd. He was blocked in and could not move allowing the first and second place people to get away. If he would have moved over into lane one ahead of the pack, he could have been running with the first and second place runners. At the end of the race, with his strength and speed, he could have over come them and won the races.

The coach talked to Daniel about the error that he committed in the race. He instructed me to work on this all this week. We have one more race before the USATF elimination series that we hope results in Daniel going to his third national meet in consecutive order. This is why we must correct this problem for the 800 m and 1500 m runs, if we are to make it to nationals.

We will see if this problem is corrected at the next meet on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Caravel Academy in Wilmington, DE. USATF Qualifier starts on June 22-23.
